About Miramar Beach
Miramar Beach is a historic beach community located west of US Highway 98 and is one of the oldest on 30-A. The city is built on a peninsula that connects the Gulf of Mexico to Choctawhatchee Bay. Between Henderson Beach Park and Topsail Hill State Park is the beach.
Along the Miramar beach, you can find sugar-fine sand, emerald-green surf, and many beach accesses along the approximately 7-square-mile stretch of Miramar Beach. Dotted along Miramar Beach is with residences and master-planned communities, some of which are near the Emerald Bay Golf Club’s fairways.
Henderson Beach Park, located in Miramar Beach’s westernmost section, is home to thirty-foot dunes and warm gulf water that provide an experience unlike any other. The last remaining coastal scrub area in Destin is designated as a special place for preserving and protecting the area’s natural features and for public enjoyment.
Along Miramar Beach is the Emerald Coast Wine Cellar (the finest spot to taste muscadine wines). They provide a complimentary wine tasting every day, seven days a week, making it a great place to stop for a tasting or to visit their boutique for a souvenir. Keep an eye out for the ice cream truck, breathe in the salt air, and take the scenic route back to your house by walking on the Henderson Beach boardwalk or barefoot in the sugar-fine sand.
